Sir Hans Sloane Chocolate Class with Master Chocolatier Bill McCarrick, at the Sir Hans Sloane Chocolate Studio.

Kitted out with aprons and gloves, the class starts with a short history of Sir Hans Sloane and an insight into the origins of chocolate. However to fully understand the processes involved in making a cocoa bean into chocolate, Bill will lead you around the Sir Hans Sloane studio where he will explain the different processes and of course give you the chance to try the chocolate at all stages.

Having learnt, or been refreshed on the basics, Bill will then guide you step-by-step through the art of hand tempering as you learn how to hand craft a glamorous chocolate centrepiece.

Bill will then lead you on to craft one of our seasonal solid chocolates where you will use our artisanal tempering machines with the mould of the season. Your thirst will then be quenched with a glass of Champagne as Bill guides you in the intricacies of his champagne truffle. Bill will show you how to make everything taking into consideration the utensils/equipment you would have at home.

If there is anything particular that you would be interested in making we would be happy to take that into consideration. When the afternoon comes to a close, we will send you home with a selection of the Sir Hans Sloane current range as well as the chocolate pieces that you have made during the day.
